David Russell is a Director and Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the electricity industry. This includes extensive experience leading large multi-discipline teams delivering major infrastructure projects including new technology, IT systems, business improvement and business transition/transformation.
David has been involved in many projects from the initial strategy and business case development to the fully integrated and finished project. One of his major achievements was the implementation of a fully function Distribution Management System (DMS) as the Group Manager of Network Operations for Energex in the State of Queensland. He has extensive knowledge of SCADA and automation systems and their integration into control centre operations.
David is currently providing management and engineering consultancy services with an emphasis on renewable energy and new technologies.
